Gas Prices

As I drive to work each day, I pass several gas stations. I do not understand why the Shell station always has people in it. The gas is $2.69, where across the street it's $1.75. Do people not look at prices when they pull into the station?

I almost smashed into the car in front of me, when I first noticed it had gone down to $0.69 a litre here!!!!
